The Full Two-Storey
We took on the challenge of transforming a storey-and-a-half home into a full two-storey residence, giving the homeowners significantly more living space while maintaining a cohesive and modern design. This ambitious project required a complete roof removal and reconstruction, ensuring the home’s new structure blended seamlessly with its surroundings.
New Structure & Roofing System:
- The renovation objective was to remove the existing roof and construct a fully functional two-storey home
- The new roof design incorporated a combination of attic trusses, scissor trusses, and a flat section
- This approach provided structural stability while optimizing ceiling heights and creating a sense of openness in the upper level
Expanded Living Space:
- With the addition of a full second storey, the home now features three new bedrooms, providing ample room for a growing family or accommodating guests
- There’s also a loft space that offers flexibility, serving as an additional lounge, workspace, or play area
Sophisticated Exterior Finishes:
- The exterior was meticulously finished with Maibec EM+ siding in a modern flush design, delivering a sleek and contemporary look
- For added architectural detail, the front facade was clad in James Hardie panel for added durability
- A combination of James Hardie panel and NewTechWood vertical siding was used to enhance the home’s curb appeal, blending classic materials with a fresh, modern twist
