This project was designed to extend the home while maintaining its minimalist, architectural aesthetic. The addition expands the home in a way that reinforces the sense of harmony between structure and landscape.
Connection to the Landscape:
- The design remained true to the modern architectural style, prioritizing clean lines, open spaces, and outdoor connection
- The V-groove cedar exterior provides a warm, organic contrast to the home’s sleek and modern form
- The attention to detail in the low-profile window flashing ensures a clean and uninterrupted facade, allowing the large windows to blend seamlessly with the structure

- Inside, the addition features a polished concrete floor with radiant heating, offering both comfort and durability
- The expansive four-panel patio doors create a stunning transition to the outdoors, flooding the space with natural light and enhancing the views of the surrounding forest
- Large fascia details emphasize the home’s crisp, geometric lines, adding to its bold, contemporary aesthetic

- Built on a concrete foundation, this addition is designed for longevity adding to the structural integrity of the original home
